Experience
I’ve been a freelance editor since 2009. I have two undergraduate degrees as well as a graduate degree from Emory University. After working in the corporate sector for many years, I made the leap to freelance editing; first with a fiction publisher and then directly with independent authors.
Working one-on-one with authors, assisting them in bringing their vision of a story to life, has repeatedly proven to me that I couldn’t have made a better decision than making that transition.
Body of Work
At last count, I’ve edited over 300 manuscripts, from short stories (10k-15k words) to epic-length novels (up to 155k words), with the majority in the ‘novel’ range (40k-100k words). I’ve worked with new writers as well as New York Times and USA Today best-selling authors.
